Upcoming Talk

I hope to present the following talk in the next few months:

Hi, my name is Rex Harley. How many people here enjoy having sex? How many here are aroused by the idea of having a man behind you with his arms wrapped around you while his hard cock is buried deep inside you? How many here are aroused by the idea of being the man buried in your lover's ass?

Now, how many here have a spiritual life? Maybe you meditate on a regular basis, or go to church. Whether you believe in God, the Divine Intelligence of the universe, or the Force, how many people have a spiritual side?

Is there anyone here who has trouble reconciling the two? I know I do. Today, I'm going to cover four topics. 1) Mankind has somewhere got the idea that sex is wrong and God hates us for it. 2) For me, spirituality means that there's more to life than I understand and is full of meaning. 3) We have a healthy ability to experience sexual pleasure. And 4) Sex can be an act of worship and part of that is learning to give and receive the maximum pleasure possible and avoiding guilt.

First, somewhere along the way, humanity came up with the idea that sexuality and spirituality are at odds. You can lead a pious sex free life, or a life filled with sexual debauchery and godlessness, or somewhere in between filled with guilt. Sex became dirty and evil. We decided that one sex act can permanently separate you from God, so you might as well live the life of the sinner destined to burn in a lake of fire and enjoy life while you have the chance. At the very least, you don't think about God while having sex and you don't think about sex during church.

Second, for me, being spiritual means recognizing the Truth (with a capital T) underlying appearances. It means believing that life has meaning, that the universe itself is intelligent. It means that this divine intelligence which I call God is everywhere. Without meaning, I have a hard time finding motivation to do anything. Why bother if everything I am is gone after I die. So I believe instead that every moment is full of meaning, even when I am consumed with passion and am forgetting myself during a sexual act.

Third, Sex is obviously pleasurable. If I resisted pleasure - got it over with as quickly as possible so that the urge would go away - pleasure wouldn't be very pleasurable. Instead I try to abandon myself to pleasure when I have sex. I can spend hours experiencing pleasure all by myself masturbating my cock, asshole or both, pinching my tits, squeezing my balls, sniffing some poppers from time to time.

And finally, sex is good. God designed my body in such a way that I can experience pleasure. I don't believe I was created to feel pleasure so that I could avoid feeling pleasure. So when I have sex, I try to remember this. I give myself permission to experience greater levels of pleasure as a way of worship. I allow God to experience pleasure through me and I love God so much that I want God to experience the ultimate pleasure I am capable of. If I shout out "Oh, God!" while I'm having sex, I'm literally thanking God for the sense of awe that I have at the pleasure I'm experiencing. Sometimes I have trouble believing the depth of physical pleasure that I'm experiencing and I say "Oh, God!" because I'm so astonished at the sensations available to me.

So to summarize, we covered four topics: 1) Mankind has somewhere got the idea that sex is wrong and God hates us for it. 2) For me, spirituality means that there's more to life than I understand and is full of meaning. 3) We have a healthy ability to experience sexual pleasure. And 4) Sex can be an act of worship and part of that is learning to give and receive the maximum pleasure possible and avoiding guilt. When I have sex, I'm making love to the Universe itself. How hot is that!

Thank you.
